Dustin McClung and David Gumley, CEO of GADALI Group and Managing Director of ADAPTOVATE Australia, talking about Adaptovate having formed an alliance with Gadali, a national consulting firm that partners with community, corporations, government and technology platforms to foster employment and ICT sector growth while inspiring positive societal impact among indigenous communities. Gadali aims to establish itself as the leading ICT Consultancy and Systems Integrator for governmental and corporate entities, alongside implementing a long-term human capital investment model to provide pathways and opportunities for First Nations people to engage in the technology sector as a vocation.
Jye Murray, Wiradjuri-Ngemba man and APA Member, talking about his involvement with the Indigenous Marathon Project (IMP) squad for 2024 and his hopes to run the NYC marathon later this year. Jye is also working on his dream with the IMP to not only run the NYC marathon, but inspire and empower his community to live healthier lives through his story and by incorporating cultural health determinants into his everyday practices, emphasising the importance of traditional foods, bush medicines, and a connection to Country. And leading the way through his Instagram page, @thekooriphysio by producing really engaging content that provides actionable steps for all healthcare providers to help close the gap and provide a culturally safe environment for First Nations people.
Sandy Greenwood, Performer and Multi-award winning actor, talking about Ellen Van Neerven’s debut work for the stage “Swim”. Delivered with cheek and heart by Baad/Yawuru performer Dani Sibosado (Bran Nue Dae) alongside Gumbaynggir
performer and multi-award-winning actor Sandy Greenwood (Dogged, Belvoir’s At What Cost), van Neerven’s new work muses on everything from the sovereignty of water to gender identity and the binding strength of culture and family.
