We had: David Maxwell (Busta), and Anne Savage, CEO of Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, talking about Prostate Cancer in Australia. Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia and the most commonly diagnosed cancer among Australian men.

We had: Jalara Wagner, Indigenous student at Australian Catholic University (ACU), talking about how she is inspired to teach due to the inequities in Indigenous student outcomes and her focus on giving back to her community and being a role model.

We had:Tiahni Adamson, Indigenous wildlife conservation biologist, talking about National Science Week for 2023 (12th-20th August). In her current role as the Lead Community Engagement Officer for CH4 Global, Tiahni is part of a dynamic team that research and foster sustainable seaweed aquaculture, with a goal of zero methane agriculture.

We had: Courtney Peleseuma, student midwife studying at Australian Catholic University (ACU), talking about the Away From Base Program. The AFB Program is a great study mode in which Indigenous students are well supported with tutors to study online.

We had: Andrew Staite, CEO and MD at Pinnacle, talking about the barriers faced by Indigenous LGBTQIA+ youth in education & careers. 40% of Aussies believe there are more barriers for First Nations LGBTQIA+ people to get into tertiary education and 46% believe it’s harder for First Nations queer people to get into corporate careers.

We had: Hayley Creed, Indigenous teaching student at ACU, talking about the role she’s doing and the Game Changers program at ACU. Hayley says being a part of the Game Changers program has given her the confidence to embrace her heritage.

We had: Zane Ratcliff, First Nations education student Australian Catholic University (ACU), talking about his journey to university, plans for the future and giving advice to other Indigenous Australian’s thinking about studying.
