We had:

Professor Alex Brown, Australian Alliance for Indigenous Genomics lead, Professor Indigenous Genomics at the Telethon Kids Institute and The Australian National University, talking about inequity in genomic health for Indigenous Australians.

Courtney Peleseuma, student midwife studying at Australian Catholic University (ACU), talking about the Away From Base Program. The AFB Program is a great study mode in which Indigenous students are well supported with tutors to study online.

Sabine Hoeng, Manager of Yalanji Arts – Mossman Gorge, talking about ‘How we Relate – Yalanji arts exhibition launch’. Four of the textile designs included in this exhibition have also just been selected as finalists in the National Indigenous Fashion Awards (NIFA). Winners get announced at the event in Darwin 9 August.
