Kristy Masella, Managing Director at Aboriginal Employment Strategy, talking about how how the Aboriginal Employment Strategy is transitioning to full Indigenous control. Coinciding with Indigenous Business Month, the AES journey reflects the importance of this year’s theme ACTIONS TODAY, IMPACT TOMORROW, inspiring the next generation of First Nations business leaders and growth of the sector.

Dr Pam Laird, Respiratory physiotherapist and researcher at Perth Children’s Hospital and Health Service, talking about how a study has found high rates of chronic lung disease in remote-living Aboriginal children. Almost one in five children across four remote Kimberley communities has some form of chronic lung disease, according to a new study co-designed and conducted in partnership with Aboriginal communities.

Destiny Dewis, First Nations Foundation Community Engagement & Project Officer, talking about how they have launched an ‘On Country’ online platform, supporting businesses to provide financial wellbeing education for Indigenous employees.
