National Talkblack 230321

We had:

Dr Fatima Yaqoot, Senior Research Fellow at James Cook University’s Mount Isa Centre for Rural and Remote Health talking about how a new analysis of sleep health studies has found Indigenous Australian children suffer disproportionately from sleep problems. She says “access to sleep health care is lacking for Indigenous children. Data from sleep clinics show Indigenous Australians attend at the rate of 31 per 100,000 people while the rate for non-indigenous people is 575 per 100,000.”

Natalie Ahmat, Neighbour Day Ambassador, NITV Presenter, producer, film-maker and proud First Nations woman talking about Neighbour Day 2021 which is Australia’s annual celebration of community, and it encourages people to connect with those who live in their neighbourhood … in person or virtually.
