Joined by special guest today Alexander Starmer who are facilitating an alternative learning program called the STEP program targeted at disengaged and at risk youth in years 7, 8 and 9. The STEP program provides an alternative learning environment to mainstream schooling. The program attempts to reduce student disciplinary referrals and suspensions, re engage target students and reduce the local crime rate; essentially providing them with a stepping stone back into mainstream schooling.
