On the 28th of April, the Northern Territory-based survivor of the Stolen Generation issues legal proceedings against the Commonwealth, demanding compensation for the forcible removal from their families as children, from 1910 to 1970’s.

Tony Stevenson, CEO of the Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (MIFA) talking about how MIFA warns that millions of dollars urgently need to be ploughed into Australia’s dysfunctional mental health system. CEO Tony Stevenson says a staggering 50% of people with schizophrenia now attempt suicide. He points out a recent study revealed 95% of participants said they had experienced stigma and discrimination.
