We had:

Dr Marilyn Clarke and Dr Joel Wenitong who are partnering with Cancer Council and the Australian Government to encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to prioritise cancer screening. Hear Dr Marilyn speak about the importance of breast and cervical screening and Dr Joel speak to a male audience on bowel screening.

Kay Zaro, Australian Indigenous Basketball manager talking about her role and how recently NBA player and proud Torres Strait Islander man Patty Mills supporting AIB to help increase opportunities for Indigenous basketball players.

Ian Hamm, First Nations Foundation Chairperson talking about how they are on a mission to achieve financial prosperity for Indigenous Australians. They aim to do this via a number of programs, including the My Money Dream program, an online money skills training program, designed by Indigenous Australians, for Indigenous Australians. The program helps First Nations people aged 16 – 60 navigate the financial obstacles unique to their communities, including lessons on money and culture, budgeting, banking, superannuation, insurance, loans and credit, buying a home, buying a car and financial first aid.

Michael Woodley, Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation CEO discussing how representatives of the Yindjibarndi community gathered in Roebourne WA to celebrate the unconditional return of eight secular items from Andover, United Kingdom. The return is the first repatriation from a private collector under the newly extended Return of Cultural Heritage (RoCH) initiative led by the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS). In July 2020 the Australian Government announced a further $10 million to extend RoCH for another four years.

We would also like to thank the Community Broadcasting Foundation and National Indigenous Australians Agency for their support here at BBM 98.7FM.
