National Talkblack 150921

We had:

Malachi Johnson, land and sea Indigenous ranger and Indigenous experience learner, sharing his story and talking about his connection to the sea. He is also a member of United Nations Youth Indigenous Focus, and works on the Crown of Thorns that are ruining our reef.

Senior Sergeant Nicole O’Rourke and Senior PLO Tony Bani, talking about staying safe during these upcoming school holidays and taking normal safety precautions. They also yarned with Trendy Trev about R U OK Day that took place last week, and to make sure we are constantly checking in with our mob and asking them if they’re really okay.

Have something happening in your community, and you want to talk about it, give us a call on 1800 422 416. Or Give us a text on 0457 140 550!

We would also like to thank the Community Broadcasting Foundation and National Indigenous Australians Agency for their support here at BBM 98.7FM.

Make sure to tune in Monday-Friday 11am-12pm QLD Time to stay up to date with the latest national events.
