National Talkblack 120922

We had:

Katina Davidson, Queensland Gallery of Modern Art Curator of Indigenous Australian Art, talking about Queensland’s Embodied Knowledge show exhibits diverse range of Indigenous artists. With a strong First Nation presence, the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Arts’ recent Embodied Knowledge exhibition featured 19 artists from across Queensland highlighting issues of Indigenous artists, voices of women and LGBTQIA+ artists.

For those who missed it last week, Trevor had a deadly yarn with Vanessa Lee-Ahmat, Social Epidemiologist, talking about recognising the importance of First Nations culture and healing past cultural and economic injustices. By taking early action to incorporate First Nation peoples and their rights into the early formation of the metaverse, society can be supported to move in the direction of recognising the importance of First Nations culture and healing past cultural and economic injustices.
