National Talkblack 090221

We had:

Jimmy Kyle, Founder/frontman and chief songwriter of Chasing Ghosts which is a Aboriginal led punk-rock band talking about their first track ‘Summer’ from a forthcoming EP titled ‘Homelands’. “Summer” finds Jimmy singing in both English, and for the first time ever, in his native tongue as he explores the horrors of the 1856 Towel Creek massacre.

Temiah Henaway, GIVIT Indigenous Officer yarning about their ‘Back to School’ appeal. The appeal has 6,000+ requests (will grow as schools return) for schooling items for struggling families – from basic stationery to backpacks, lunch boxes and school shoes as well as necessary tech items like laptops and tablets. To donate: https://www.givit.org.au/donate-items.
