National Talkblack 050822

We had:

Mikaela French, Solicitor at Marrawah Law talking about First Nations Fake Art. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art is how we tell our mobs stories and how we pass on our culture for generations to come. Due to the significance of our art and history, we need to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and their artwork is protected.

Prof. Hussein Abbass, Lead researcher at University of Canberra talking about Australian researchers develop new communication system inspired by rare NT Aboriginal language Jingulu. An Aboriginal language only spoken by a handful of people in the Northern Territory has become the inspiration for a new artificial intelligence system, potentially helping people better communicate with machines.
