National Talkblack 021120
We had:
Commissioner Romlie Mokak from the Productivity Commission talking about how the Commission released a proposed Indigenous Evaluation Strategy putting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people at its centre. Better outcomes will be achieved if the values, expertise and lived experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are reflected in what is evaluated, how evaluation is undertaken, and the outcomes policies and programs seek to achieve.
Delson Stokes from The Yabu Band talking about how the band is to release new single A Cry in the Wind ahead of National NAIDOC Week 2020. Written earlier this year, the single, A Cry in the Wind, relates to the struggles the Stokes brothers’ ancestors faced during the time of the Stolen Generation and refers to the enduring relevance of traditional philosophies.
