National Talkblack 011222

We had:

Thomas Mayor, Advocate for The Uluru Statement from the Heart, talking about the Qld Parliament passing a motion supporting the Uluru Statement, including a Voice to Federal Parliament.

Richie Ahmat, Chairman of Cape York Land Council talking about the historic native title sea claims determined on the 30th November. The historic native title consent determination, which has been 21 years in the making, covers about 65,000 square kilometres of land and sea – almost the same size as Tasmania. Richie Ah Mat said the historic occasion is a testament to the strength that comes from speaking with a united voice.
