NATIONAL TALK BLACK – 25/03/2025
On todays National Talk Black via NIRS – National Indigenous Radio Service we have:
Marc Diplock, Former Australian Army member and Chief Operating Officer at Salute for Service, talking about their $86,000 giveaway for Australians veterans to create community of transitional support. With over two in five (45%) veterans reporting difficulty adjusting back to civilian life, the transitional period after leaving service can be very challenging for Australian Defence Force (ADF) members. In fact, with more than half a million (581,000) Australians having served in the Australian Defence Force (ADF), it is estimated that 261,450 members of the ADF have or will experience difficulty adjusting to civilian life. Recognising the importance of raising awareness and encouraging veterans to seek the support they deserve; Salute for Service is launching a special giveaway of a brand new 2024 Toyota HiLux, with an approximate value of $86,000, offered to all current-serving and ex-serving ADF members. The initiative aims to not only engage veterans with vital services but also to show appreciation for the selfless contributions they have made to Australia.
