National Talk Black 200624
On todays National Talk Black via NIRS – National Indigenous Radio Service we have:
Sean-Paul Stephens, Ngarluma Yindjibarndi Foundation Ltd (NYFL) CEO, talking about how Australia would be far worse off without the thousands of people who work to build our communities. The Ngarluma Yindjibarndi Foundation Ltd (NYFL) is a Traditional Owner organisation that delivers social and economic outcomes for its members and the broader community of Ieramagardu (Roebourne) and beyond. Mr Stephens says he realised after Reconciliation Week, that so few people truly understand what working in the community really takes. Grateful to have you on the program today, thank you to all those who do their part for their community!
Stephen Grant, Rob Campbell and Esther, Edmonton Polices PLO Officer, Senior Sergeant and PNG Recruit, talking about the Police Recruitment Program that is currently running.
Chris Curnow, Joseph Kotlar, Monica Edgar, Program Manager Rangelands NRM, Coordinator Dampier Peninsula Fire Working Group, talking about the Indigenous fire management programs being recognised for work to preserve vast Kimberley landscape. The Dampier Peninsula Fire Working Group (the Group) was formed in 2016 through a community of common concern. The Damper Peninsula Fire Working Group is a cross-tenure collaboration blending Indigenous right-way fire practice with contemporary techniques to protect biodiversity, cultural and pastoral values.
