Peter Cooley, CEO of First Hand Solutions, talking about IndigiGrow launching its “Caring for Country” program on Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th of August at its nursery at La Perouse Public School. This exciting initiative is focused on increasing biodiversity by making native plants more accessible to everyone through wholesale pricing enabling the broader public to work alongside IndigiGrow to increase biodiversity by planting natives. Now in its 7th year, IndigiGrow is a native plant project of First Hand Solutions Aboriginal Corporation. It has two nurseries at La Perouse Public School and Matraville Sports High School. Kallum Goolagong, Current Bangarra Dancer and 2024 Dance Clan Choreographer, talking about the announcement of Bangarra Dance Theatre’s 2024 Dance Clan line-up. Bangarra Dance Theatre is a company of professional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performers and for over 25 years, Dance Clan has fostered the talents of a new generation of storytellers, designers, dancers and choreographers. Kallum has been with Bangarra since 2019 and will choreograph original works to be performed by the Bangarra Dancers. Bangarra’s 2024 Dance Clan will be from the 29th of November to the 14th of December at the Studio Theatre at Bangarra. To find out more, check out the link below!

Rochelle Pitt, Singer, talking about her involvement with “Meeanjin Songlinez” for the 2024 Brisbane Festival. Meeanjin Songlinez stands as a premier event of the Brisbane Festival season, offering a profound immersion into the rich tapestry of First Nations culture and creativity. Under the esteemed direction and custodianship of Tribal Experiences Managing Directors, This free, non-ticketed event will kickstart the Brisbane Festival on the 1st of September.
