Senior Sergeant Glen De Lai, Edmonton Police – Whichway Yarning Segment, talking about the Operation Whiskey Legion. Operation Whiskey Legion (OWL) is a locally led, state-supported initiative aimed at proactively addressing crime and targeting high-volume, high-harm crime hot spots based on intelligence. Between 30th April and the 6th of May, Police from the Far North District have been supported by the State Flying Squad in a surge capacity to target crime hot spots based on crime analysis. The successful operation resulted in 206 people charged with a total of 620 offences during a week-long blitz.
