There will be four keynote speakers who are CQUniversity Alumni. Speakers will share their personal and professional experiences and stories regarding studying and what they have/are doing with their degrees….the why’s, how’s and what got them to where they are today. Information will be provided about the CQUniversity pathways, followed by a question-and-answer session over lunch. For those living locally to Cairns, you can find out more below on the flyer on how to register. Others living away can access the event via Zoom webinar by getting in contact with Diane- information below on flyer!
Dr. Kylie Armstrong and Nicole Evans, Co-founders of ConnectedLE – 2024 Telstra Best of Business Awards, Championing Health State Winner (QLD), talking about their win and how Telstra has announced that nominations for the Telstra Best of Business Awards are now open. The Telstra Best of Business Awards comprises seven categories which are celebrated at a state and national level. An overall Business of the Year will also be crowned as part of the National Awards. All businesses under 200 employees are invited to nominate and enter across the seven categories. Anyone can nominate an exceptional business, even if it’s their own, by clicking below!
Danielle Snelling, Co-founder and Executive Officer of Motherless Daughters Australia, talking about how a new world-first study is shedding light on the impacts of mother loss on Australian women in an effort to inform future support pathways, with community reports that grief is being dismissed by society. While riding the waves of grief, Danielle decided to invest her time and channel her energy into creating the support network she would have liked available and to change the path for future motherless daughters. In 2013, she reached out on an American Mother Loss Facebook page with the hopes of finding a Victorian-based woman in the same shoes and who might share her vision to connect girls and women whose mothers have died. Danielle’s Co-Founder Eloise Baker responded and the two met where they discussed all things mother loss. It was here the idea of Motherless Daughters was born.
