Karen Mundine, Reconciliation Australia CEO, talking about National Reconciliation Week campaign winning Anthem Awards Gold. National Reconciliation Week campaigns have triumphed at the global 2024 Anthem Awards in New York, taking out Gold in the non-profit category. The Anthem Award, the world’s largest and most comprehensive social impact award, was given to the two NRW campaigns in recognition of their impact in community engagement for diversity equity and inclusion causes. #BeAVoiceForGenerations and #NowMoreThanEver were the winning respective themes for National Reconciliation Week 2023 and 2024 in the category for campaigns created by a non-profit organisation to raise awareness for diversity, equity, and inclusion causes. The NRW campaigns beat more than 2,300 entries submitted from over thirty countries. Reconciliation Australia CEO Karen Mundine welcomed the news and thanked Carbon Creative, the partner agency which worked on the two campaigns. Brooke Blurton, “First Things First” co-host, talking about “First Things First” win at the 2024 Australian Podcast Awards. At the recent 2024 Australian Podcast Awards, Indigenous-led podcasts made a powerful impact, claiming five major awards and highlighting the voices and stories from First Nations communities that are shaping the nation’s podcasting scene. Media personalities Brooke Blurton and Matty Mills share personal yarns through a First Nations Lens. The friends share their daily lives through stories of shared, lived and first experiences in a conversational style. Never afraid to shy away from more serious topics like mental health, generational trauma, domestic violence and politics, it’s no wonder this podcast duo took out this year’s award for Podcast Champion. Sharon Winsor, Executive Chef, Founder and CEO of @indigiearth, talking about sharing the healing power of native food through Indigiearth. Award-winning chef Sharon Winsor is on a mission to show the world that bush food is much more than just “witchetty grubs and goanna”. She realised many people did not know what bush foods were, and decided to start a business to showcase how native ingredients could be used. Indigiearth is an award-winning business fully owned and operated by Aboriginal people. It is based in the scenic Central West region of New South Wales, Mudgee, on Wiradjuri Country. Indigiearth works with native Australian ingredients gathered from across the nation, including coastal areas and inland across our vast country.
