Professor Chris Lawrence, Director of the National Indigenous Space Academy and newly appointed Professor of Practice in Space Innovation and Security Capabilities in the Faculty of Engineering, talking about Boeing partnership launches new opportunity for Indigenous students in space. Led by Monash’s Faculty of Engineering and supported by the Australian Space Agency and CSIRO, NISA gives Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students hands-on experience at the forefront of space exploration through placements at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in California and RAL Space in the United Kingdom. Lauren Miller, Royal Life Saving Society – Australia Senior Research and Policy Officer, talking about Royal Life Saving urges all men to Make the Right Call around water as the holiday weekend approaches. Royal Life Saving has launched its Make the Right Call campaign, targeting men aged 25–45 years and promoting a commonsense approach to safety around water – encouraging men to look after their mates and make safer decisions when swimming, boating and fishing.
