Bala Wolz, Blaktivation Co-Owner & Co-Founder, talking about Survival Day. Bala Wolz tells us more about his involvement with Blaktivation and their “Day of Survival and Strength” March, that they hosted today in Gimuy (Cairns).

Laura Thompson, Clothing The Gaps CEO/Co-Founder, talking about Clothing The Gaps “Australia Day – Jan 26 – Not a date to celebrate” petition. The petition urges Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to formally acknowledge the harm caused by celebrating “Australia Day” on 26 January and to recognise that this date is not a day of national celebration for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It also calls for leadership grounded in truth-telling, respectful dialogue, and meaningful engagement with First Nations communities about the future of the national day. Jessielee Pearce, Lush Australia’s Advocacy and Activism Executive, talking about Lush x Clothing The Gaps Launch National Campaign. Lush Australia is campaigning alongside Aboriginal-led social enterprise Clothing The Gaps, standing in solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to amplify their call for Australian Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese, to formally acknowledge the profound significance of 26 January and the ongoing harm caused by celebrating “Australia Day” on this date. On Jan 8th Lush will also launch the limited‑edition Always Will Be soap to raise funds for the campaigning organisation. With 75% of the sales price (excluding tax) donated directly to Clothing The Gaps to contribute to education and advocacy campaigns that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities.
