We had:
Senior Sergeant Anna Neumann, talking about from bluecoat to graduation gown, how she has received top honours. A police officer for nearly 30 years, the mum-of-four completed an Anthropology degree and graduated from University of Southern Queensland – Australia with top marks yesterday. With the colours of the Aboriginal flag draped around her neck, she celebrated the end of her undergraduate degree alongside hundreds of her peers, including 38 First Nations students.
Mark Kehoe, CEO of Gumtree Australia, talking about how rubbish and waste can help Aussies pay their bills. New research reveals the value of the circular economy is now a whopping $62 billion, with Aussies turning to online trading to help offset the rising cost of living. The annual Trading in the Circular Economy Report uncovers there are approximately 21 sellable pre-loved, unwanted, or unused items in every home, with an average household value of $6,964 – up 29% from $5,200 since 2021
