Mel Briggs, one of Australia’s first endorsed First Nations Midwife, talking about New uniform for First Nations midwives helping save lives. First Nations women are almost three times more likely to die during pregnancy and childbirth compared to non-Indigenous women. The impact of having a First Nations Midwife can significantly improve birth outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander babies.
