Rebecca Wickes, Associate Professor from Monash University , speaking on how older people living in disadvantaged neighbourhoods are not significantly affected by a fear of crime compared to younger populations, researchers from Australia and Germany have discovered. They are, however, considerably more fearful than younger people in better-off neighbourhoods with low levels of crime.

Dr. Noel Duncan, SiSU Health Managing director, yarning about how real-time data reveals looming diabetes risk as Australians urged to monitor and nurture their health –growing number of adults at risk since onset of COVID-19. Data using Australia’s leading Type 2 Diabetes Risk Indicator suggests the risk of developing the disease has increased across all age groupings between 16 and 75 since the onset of the pandemic, and for cohorts in every state except South Australia.

Newman's Woman Shelter manager Arina Aoina, talking about the launch of the Martu Patrol in the Outback Pilbara town of Newman to prevent youth crime. Run by the Newman Women's Shelter and community organisation Newman Futures, the outreach program is designed to safely engage with Indigenous kids roaming the town at night. Ms Aoina said the initiative was based on other successful programs from around the state.
