National Talkblack 310323

We had:

Grant Garland, Technical Representative of Brooks Australia, talking about why testing your smoke alarm is vital ahead of Test your Smoke Alarm Day (1 April). While smoke alarms should be tested once a month, just 10% of Aussies do it and one in two Aussies have disabled their smoke alarms in their homes.

Craig Rigney, KWY Aboriginal Corporation CEO, talking about The National Aboriginal Child Safety and Domestic Violence Summit. More than 250 delegates are attending the three-day summit, which has been organised by the KWY Aboriginal Corporation.

Michael Dykes, CEO of the Community Enterprise Queensland, talking about severe wet season drives up demand for air freight food supplies in northern Queensland. Community Enterprise Queensland has ensured the supply of food to remote Cape York communities during the wet season by using airplanes to transport essential freight.
