National Talkblack 250823

We had:

Piper Stewart, Founder of Bambigi – Aboriginal kids swimming, talking about helping 300 Indigenous kids learn to swim in Griffith. Piper started Bambigi when she was 12 to raise money for Indigenous kids’ swimming lessons. Bambigi has raised about $40,000 since its inception. Piper says she wants to help close the gap in Indigenous drownings. https://www.abc.net.au/…/griffith-teen-wins…/102744012

Johnny Wilson, Chair of Nurrdalinji Aboriginal Corporation, commenting on the Tamboran fracking pollution. Johnny said “Traditional Owners have an obligation to protect our country but we can’t do this while gas companies are able to act in this way. We don’t want fracking and this reminds us why”
