National Talkblack 241023
We had:
Alexander Symes, Architect, talking about how Aussie blueprints are going green following new research into sustainable rennovations. Hesitation to go green is high, with the new research from Allianz Australia revealing almost nine in ten Aussies say there are barriers deterring them from taking the plunge to sustainability. Over half of homeowners feel that making their home more sustainable is a very large task, while a third feel the task is too complex.
Jon Vea Vea, Cook Cook Singer, talking about sharing Australia’s Blak History through music at a time of heightened misinformation. From pre-colonisation, first contact with cook, the Ureka Stockade to today, Cook Cook singer, Jon Vea Vea combines his more than 40-year career of musical storytelling with historical analysis to share often overlooked First Nations experiences and perspectives of Australian history in ‘Rekindle the Campfire.’
