We had:

Dr Shannon Kilmartin-Lynch, Joint lead author and Vice-Chancellor’s Indigenous Postdoctoral Research Fellow at RMIT University, talking about how coffee offers perfomrance boost for concrete. “Inspiration for my research, from an Indigenous perspective, involves Caring for Country, ensuring there’s a sustainable life cycle for all materials and avoiding things going into landfill to minimise the impact on the environment,” said Kilmartin-Lynch.

PLO Stephen Grant from Edmonton Police, discussing plans for this years Queensland Road Safety Week which goes from the 21st-25th August. QRSW is a week of prioritising your driving task above the daily grind.

• Remember to:

o Focus on the act of driving safely,

o be present when you drive;

o don’t be distracted

o Consider your surrounds and the safety challenges you face when driving
