Professor Deborah Cheetham, AO Artisitic Director and Project Lead of Short Black Opera, talking about 20 new research projects transform Indigenous health research in Australia. Lowitja Institute, Australia’s national institute for community controlled Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research, has unveiled a landmark program of 20 new research grants that changes the way Indigenous health research is done in Australia. Short Black Opera - Empowering Ensemble Dutala: creating a culturally relevant framework within Australia’s orchestras that supports inclusion and opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander orchestral musicians.

Toby Adams, Director of Leading with Strength, talking about Historically significant' return to country for generations of Kullilli people. Nearly two years ago, Toby Adams founded Kullilli Ngulkana as a way to connect back with his people, country, language and culture. Since then, he has wanted to take his people back to country and, at the end of last month, he finally fulfilled that goal. More than 70 people spent the week in the small south-west Queensland town, reconnecting with and celebrating their country.
