Stacey Pidgeon, National Manager – Research and Policy at Royal Life Saving Society – Australia talking about how a new report reveals clear spikes in people aged 65 plus drowning and school aged children. The blunt warning for Indigenous people is that there are massive dangers around inland waterways as well as backyard pools, inland waterway and pool drownings have jumped by 15% in the past 12 months.
Dr Jo Durham, Researcher at the Australian Centre for Health Services Innovation Australia, talking about two Australian organisations share in more than $1 million in funding to support local projects aimed at ending the HIV epidemic. Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and the National Association of People Living with HIV Australia (NAPWHA), have been awarded a combined AUD $1.04 million to support their respective local efforts in ending the HIV epidemic.
Marathon runner Tip to Toe 2022 – Erchana Murray-Bartlett, talking about Run For Wildlife. Erchana’s Tip-to-Toe Run for Wildlife challenge is the equivalent of running a massive 155 consecutive marathons from Cape York to Naarm / Melbourne throughout August 2022-January 2023.
