National Talkblack 190123

We had:

Luke Twyford, Child Death Review Board Chairperson at Queensland Family and Child Commission, talking about how First Nations People are encouraged to apply for positions on Queensland’s Child Death Review Board. The Board reviews the deaths of children known to Queensland’s child protection system. Given the over-representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in the child protection system, the Board is seeking to increase First Nations representation among its membership.

Dr. Bakhshish Singh Sandhu, President Council of Khalistan & Coordinator SFJ – USA and Gurminder Singh, Coordinator SFJ – Australia, talking about the Khalistan Referendum. The voting in the Australian Phase of global Khalistan Referendum is going to start on January 29th, 2023 from Melbourne, Federation Square.

Natalie Ahmat, Presenter of NITV News, talking about reflecting, healing, and empowering with Always Was, Always Will Be line-up across NITV and SBS this January 26. For the first time ahead of the day itself, National Indigenous Television (NITV) and the wider SBS network invite audiences to deepen their understanding of January 26 and what it means to be Australian through a brand new prime-time program, Sunset Ceremony.
