National Talkblack 180823
We had:
Tahlia Liddle, talking about the Environmental documentary series, Larapinta, which premieres on NITV and SBS On Demand this August. Talia Liddle said: “My experience on Larapinta was life changing. Spending time with Elders and different communities along the river was an honour – listening and learning from voices that aren’t normally amplified.“
Dr Claire Golledge, researcher, talking about giving Aboriginal students and communities a voice in schools. A UNSW project championing cultural inclusion and genuine long-term engagement is making a positive difference for First Nations communities in NSW.
Dr Janani Ravichandran, Dentist & Oral Health Promotor, Australian Dental Association, talking about Australians urged to prioritise healthy dental habits to avoid developing serious health issues. Studies show that poor dental hygiene can lead to more serious health issues developing including heart disease, Type 2 diabetes and pre-eclampsia in women.
