National Talkblack 160922
We had:
Scott Willis, National President of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, talking about the current Medicare reform debate going on, which is featuring GPs very strongly. The APA’s been advocating a lot in the Medicare reform space of late, in their capacity as peak body of the largest allied health workforce.
Councillor Kara Cook – Morningside Ward, talking about the petition asking Brisbane council to fly Indigenous flags on Story Bridge gains hundreds of signatures. A petition calling for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags to be installed on Brisbane’s Story Bridge has received the support of two prominent Indigenous leaders.
Marathon runner Erchana Murray-Bartlett, talking about Run For Wildlife. Erchana’s Tip-to-Toe Run for Wildlife challenge is the equivalent of running a massive 155 consecutive marathons from Cape York to Naarm / Melbourne throughout August 2022-January 2023.
