Rohin Kickett, contemporary Aboriginal Ballardong artist and photographer talking about how his explosive art tells stories from Indigenous history not taught at school. In his work with exploding paint, Mr Kickett is commenting on the 1905 Aboriginies Act in Western Australia that gave the state government power over every aspect of Indigenous people’s lives, including creating a curfew that required them to leave Perth CBD by 6pm (Source: ABC).
