Ben Armstrong, Indigitek CEO talking about the Indigitek, Awesome Black and Meta Launch New AR ‘Deadly’ Emote Filter for PAX 2022. Instagram has partnered with Indigitek, a not-for-profit organisation that aims to increase the participation and success of Indigenous people in the tech industry, and First Nations creative social enterprise Awesome Black to launch a new ‘Deadly’ augmented reality (AR) experience, using Instagram and Spark AR.

Professor Lisa Bourke, Director of University Department of Rural Health, The University of Melbourne, talking about the seventh annual Ngar-wu Wanyarra Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Conference that was held yesterday. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers, health professionals, community workers and national leaders presented at the conference, providing a forum for rich dialogue and knowledge sharing on how to promote health for Indigenous Australians.

Brodie Jarrett from Save Our Songlines, talking about how the Indigenous Songline Skateboarding Team teaches Roebourne kids some new tricks. A team of champion Indigenous skateboarders from across the country travelled to Roebourne in Western Australia to share some of their skills with local kids on Saturday.

Dennis McIntosh, co playwright of ‘I is Maggie’, talking about trouble in paradise at the cross-cultural heart of JUTE Theatre Company’s newest work. In what is a first for Australian theatre in representing the cross-cultural Thai-Australian perspective on stage, I is Maggie is a story built on the contemporary narrative of an immigrant underclass and the struggles that impact their daily lives.
