Mandy Maysey, President of TSAA, talking about how Tourettes Syndrome is leading to unjust reactions from first responders in line with Tourette Syndrome Awareness Week last week (1-7 May).
Jorian Cunliffe, CEO of the Montessori Children’s Foundation and Simah and Telita Banu, Master Trainers, talking about the Montessori Playgroup. They have been supporting Indigenous Montessori education in the Cape for 15 years and are now running a playgroup training program for free (in Cairns) for a limited number of interested parents.
Natalie Roach, chief executive of Container Exchange, talking about how the Torres Strait welcomes first container refund point at Badu Island. Containers for Change Badu Island depot began operating in December last year and has already processed more than 100,000 empty drink containers in exchange for more than $10,000 in refunds – an incredible effort for a community of around 1200 residents.
