National Talkblack 061021

We had:

Edwina Powe, Senior Project Officer and Physiotherapist, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, talking about why fewer First Nations women are missing their appointments at RBWH. A new culturally safe pathway for First Nations women to access gynaecological care at a major Brisbane hospital has seen a 40 per cent reduction in missed appointments. RBWH was developed to deliver patient-centred care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in a culturally safe way.

Senior Sergeant Glen De Lai and PLO Stephen Grant from Edmonton Police, talking about responsible consumption of alcohol and the importance of it.
