Barry Hunter, Terrain NRM Board Member and Djabugay Traditonal Owner talking about the launch of their Natural Capital Fund Indigenous Bursary Program. Natural Capital Fund director and Terrain NRM Board’s first ‘Emerging Leader’ Rhiannon Simcocks said the fund wanted to encourage more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to become future leaders in natural resource management. Students in the fields of natural resource management, environment, sustainable development, agriculture and conservation are eligible for the fund’s $3000 bursaries. David Pearson, CEO of Australian Alliance to End Homelessness (AAEH) talking about how there are no plans in place to ensure access to COVID-19 vaccinations for people experiencing homelessness, the Australian Health, Housing and Homelessness Network (A3HN) and the AAEH are calling for urgent action from the Australian and state governments. People experiencing homelessness are among those most vulnerable to COVID-19 and influenza infections, and despite some of the over 116,000 people experiencing homelessness in Australia being included in priority populations for early COVID-19 vaccinations, many, particularly those sleeping rough, will struggle to access the vaccination for a range of reasons. This lack of planning for an effective vaccine rollout is why the AAEH is continuing to call for the Australian Government to urgently implement a COVID-19 National Rough Sleeping Homelessness Pandemic Response Plan – something that has been done in relation to mental health and domestic violence, but not homelessness.

Mitch Tambo, First Nations and Sony Music recording star talking about how he is celebrating women and their achievements with his uplifting new single 'Dreamtime Princess' that was released on the 7th of May 2021. The track, in which Mitch raps on for the first time in English, was written by Mitch and produced by Rob Amoruso. The 90s inspired production gets you up and dancing, whilst Mitch's lyrics carry a deeper sentiment.

Will Kepa, Multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer and producer talking about how the ANU has opened the Yil Lull studio to be used exclusively by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists for free, and its hoped the studio will boost Indigenous enrolments at the university's school of music.

Dr Leonora Risse, Lecturer in Economics at RMIT University, Research Fellow with the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard University and Women's Leadership Institute Australia and National Chair of the Women in Economics Network commenting on the 2021-2022 Federal Budget. She says ""Placing a gender lens on next week's Federal Budget policies will be crucial for ensuring that Australia's road to economic recovery is a gender equitable one. Cutting the pink tape on women's workforce participation, increasing paid parental leave for dads, and boosting the availability of childcare and early learning, aged care and disability care are key policies that would lift women's workforce participation and fuel Australia's economic recovery..."
