Naomi Shine and Jackson Reid, talking about the Port of Newcastle waking up to another activist blockade. Four people in three separate operations interrupted the machinations of the world’s largest coal port. The activists are representatives of the network called Blockade Australia, which aims to highlight Australia’s complicity in driving climate collapse.

Darren Pauli, Telstra’s Cyber Security Expert, talking about tips on how to spot a scam, as Australians targeted more than ever. Last year, Telstra’s Cleaner Pipes program helped to block an average of 11 million scam SMS messages every month, marking a 69% increase year on year. The data collected from blocking millions and millions of scams suggests that scammers are more active than ever and prefer to target Australians on some days more than others.

Peter Cooley, CEO of First Hand Solutions and Director of the Art Fair, talking about the 2024 National Indigenous Art Fair. The National Indigenous Art Fair is an ethical marketplace founded by First Hand Solutions Aboriginal Corporation, and held on Gadigal country at the Overseas Passenger Terminal, The Rocks. The festival offers a unique opportunity to buy artworks directly from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from remote community-owned art centres from all around Australia. Now in its fifth year, the Art Fair is an immersive weekend of Indigenous art, design, food, performances and culture.
