National Talk Black 180324
On todays National Talk Black via NIRS – National Indigenous Radio Service we have:
Andrea Obeyesekere, Centacare FNQ’s Manager of Multicultural Services, talking about the Far North celebrating its multiculturalism with a Harmony Day event – organised by Centacare FNQ in collaboration with community organisations. This year’s Harmony Week theme is ‘Everyone Belongs’.
Caitlin Wilson, Shine Lawyers Special Counsel, talking about Shine Lawyers filing a Complaint in the Australian Human Rights Commission against the Department of Communities in Western Australia, alleging the Department has been removing First Nations children from their families discriminatorily, in what is being dubbed a second wave of the Stolen Generation. It is the second Complaint filed by the firm against a Department of Child Protection.
Jason Bryce, Spokesperson for the Cash Welcome campaign, talking about how Australians are returning to cash. New data from the Reserve Bank of Australia shows Australians are increasingly choosing to use cash.
