Katie Kiss, The Australian Human Rights Commissions Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner, talking about ensuring the voices of First Nations people across Australia help form the agenda for the term, the Commissioner is conducting a national listening tour to hear from First Nations. She will be hearing about how we move forward after the Voice Referendum, how to progress and utilise mechanisms to realise our rights, what issues are most urgently in need of attention and what expectations First Nations people have of the Social Justice Commissioner role. Shane Cuthbert, Independent Candidate for 2024 Queensland State Election , talking about the 2024 State Elections. In August, Shane Cuthbert announced he will contest the Queensland State Election seat of Cairns. Shane Cuthbert announced that his campaign would be focused on ‘youth crime’. He kicked off his campaign requesting the major parties ‘put politics aside’ and contribute to a Mission Australia Social Housing project on Cairns McLeod Street. Shane Cuthbert will appear 5th on the Cairns State Election Ballot.

Denise Crew, Troy Miller and Josh Holt, FNQ Greens Candidates, talking about the 2024 State Elections. The Queensland Greens were founded on 22 September 1991. Locally-based and independent of corporate interests, they are affiliated with the Australian Greens and part of a worldwide network of Greens parties. With more Greens in Parliament, they aim to fight to address the cost of living and housing crisis, tackle climate change, and tax big corporations fairly to fund essential services. At the last federal election, they made history in Qld and elected more Greens than ever before.
