NATIONAL TALK BLACK – 17/04/2025
On todays National Talk Black via NIRS – National Indigenous Radio Service we have:
Henry Dow, Marrawah Law and Advisory Senior Associate, talking about advice on ABN’s and ICN’s. With over a decade in operation, Marrawah Law and Advisory is one of Australia’s leading 100% First Nations owned and managed national law firms, supporting clients across the nation. An ABN is an 11-digit identifier used by businesses in Australia for interactions with the government and the broader community. An ICN is a five-digit identifier, equally recognised as the ABN but a company with an ICN is regulated under the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations. The main difference is that an ICN is designed to meet the governance needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, allowing them to operate as either for-profit or not-for-profit organisations.
