Associate Professor Yoland Antill, Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG) Director, Deputy Chair Research Advisory Committee and Medical Oncologist, talking about new report reveals Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women face higher risk from Australia’s fastest-growing women’s cancer. Uterine cancers are now Australia’s fastest-growing women’s cancer, with incidence doubling over the past 25 years and projected to continue to surge. Without immediate action, more than 44,000 women are expected to be diagnosed by 2035, and 8,900 will lose their lives. The burden is greater for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, who face growing inequality in outcomes. You can find out more via the link below!

Grace Gillard, Frog ID First Nations Scientist, talking about FrogID Week (7-16 November 2025). Now in its 8th year, FrogID Week about the world’s largest frog conservation initiative. FrogID Week, hosted by the Australian Museum, is Australia’s biggest frog count. Held annually, it’s when anyone with a smartphone can help record frog calls through the free FrogID app, and help better understand frogs and environmental health around the country. It aims to monitor frogs populations and distributions over time, helping us to understand how frogs and their ecosystems are responding to a changing planet. From croaks and barks, to whistles and bleats, every frog species makes a unique sound. Using the free FrogID app, you can record the frogs calling around you and help us count Australia’s frogs.
