NATIONAL TALK BLACK – 09/10/2025

On todays National Talk Black via NIRS – National Indigenous Radio Service we have:

Rob Ramjan, Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia Board Member, talking about the blunt warning from key not for profit that there needs to be much more support for people facing mental health issues. The not-for-profit Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (MIFA) says it is deeply disturbing that latest data shows at least 230,500 people who have a severe mental health condition are missing out completely on psycho-social supports. MIFA says a staggering 460,000 people have absolutely no access to much needed community support for their mental health conditions. The latest MIFA campaign highlights an estimated 68% of people with a severe mental illness are currently missing out on any form of community support – in round numbers this is nearly 7 in 10.
