Brodie Moore, Veteran Benefits Australia Patient Care Team talking about the side-line supporters of our country’s heroes need help. – Almost 2,000 ex-servicemen and women died between 2002 and 2015 and for every veteran lost, there is a family at home requiring additional support services. The latest statistics show that while 28,475 war widow/ers are receiving Income Support Supplement (ISS) from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, a staggering 12,638 are not.
