Adele Pedder, Australian Marine Conservation Society Protected Areas Manager talking about AMCS highlights Australia’s key role at IMPAC5 international marine protection congress. IMPAC is the global gathering for experts, advocates, managers, Indigenous leaders and decision makers seeking to protect our oceans through marine protected areas, usually held every four years. This fifth congress is the first since 2017 and has attracted more than 2000 people.
Steve Renouf, Consumer Advocate, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Champion at the Australian Digital Health Agency, talking about Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Last year in Australia it was estimated that over 1,800 women would be diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
Leo Hede, Kids Helpline counsellor at yourtown Australia talking about the rising trend of teenage boys exposed to ‘Sextortion’ threat. Data from Kids Helpline, a service powered by yourtown, indicates that the current target for “sextortion” appears to be young males between the ages of 14 – 17.
