Chrissy Grant, Chair of Wet Tropics World Heritage Area talking about funding to increase recognition of Rainforest Aboriginal Peoples’ cultural landscape in Wet Tropics of Queensland. A $395,000 Australian Heritage Grant will increase education, awareness and recognition of the Indigenous heritage values and cultural landscape of the Wet Tropics

Serena Thompson, Youth Verdict member and part of the First Nations team based in Gimuy, talking about how Land Court are travelling to Gimuy (Cairns) to hear First Nations Cultural evidence given On-Country in historic case against Clive Palmer’s Waratah Coal. Jiritju Fourmile will give evidence to the Land Court on Country and in accordance with First Nations protocols about the impacts of climate change on his Gimuy Country.
